Cultural Distance and Chinese Outbound Tourism: Exploring the Moderating Effect of Geographical Distance

چکیده

In this study, the gravity model is applied via dynamic generalised methods of moments estimation to assess role geographical distance in moderating impact culture on outbound tourism flows. The results show that cultural has a positive Chinese flow. However, effect flow decreases as increases since travellers nearby destinations are more strongly influenced by than distant markets. These therefore support concept “diminishing distance” market. addition, study serve basis for promoting sustained contribution development destination management, which will help with recovery international following COVID-19 pandemic.
